PRO-Craft Dental Lab Implant Products
What exactly is a mini-implant? Mini implants are 1.8, 2.1, 2.4 or 2.9mm titanium alloy implants that act like the root of a tooth.
In denture applications, a retaining fixture containing an O-Ring is incorporated into the base of the patient’s denture. The head of the implant is shaped like a ball and the retaining housing acts like a socket. The O-Ring then snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture in place at a predetermined level of retention.
These mini implant fixtures allow for micro-mobility while withstanding natural lifting forces. Some mini implants have also been approved by the FDA for long-term dental applications and are indicated for immediate loading.
Mini implant systems can work wonders by retrofitting patients' existing dentures saving patients time and money.
In addition, mini implants offer treatment plans for single tooth replacement. As a result, mini implants broaden the horizons of possibilities for crown and bridge applications. At PRO-Craft Dental Laboratory we can provide PFM and all ceramic dental restorations that follow the proper protocols for immediate load applications. This particular technique can be easily learned by attending a one or two day certification course from companies like IMTEC.
Oral surgeons to general practitioners, in addition to thousands of patients, have taken advantage of the amazing and unique benefits of mini implants. They can be delivered at a reasonable cost and can significantly enhance a clinician’s income.
Designed for temporary and long-term applications. Traditionally prescribed for patients who are unable to receive conventional-diameter implants due to anatomical, medical, or financial reasons
