PRO-Craft Dental Lab for Zirconia Crowns
Premium layered zirconia dental crowns that don't compromise on strength or beauty.
When your patients want a restoration that looks natural without sacrificing durability, a zirconia dental crown built with a layered technique gives you both. PRO-Craft's layered zirconia dental crowns combine a strong zirconia framework with hand-layered porcelain, creating natural translucency and depth that closely mimic real enamel.
Every crown is handcrafted by our master ceramists, made for anterior and high-esthetic cases where your patients expect a smile that looks like their own, not a restoration. Whether you're sending digital scans or conventional impressions, we build every case around your workflow, handcrafted in the USA, with the fast turnaround your schedule depends on.
Expertly handcrafted restorations made with premium materials for long-lasting results.
We utilize the latest digital scanning, milling, and printing technology to ensure accuracy and precision.
We guarantee quick, reliable turnaround times without compromising quality.
Our friendly technical team is always available to assist with case planning and troubleshooting.
PRO-Z combines the strength and durability of zirconia with the aesthetic advantages of layered ceramic. The layering process allows our technicians to create varying degrees of translucency, custom shading, and detailed characterization for restorations that closely resemble natural teeth.
Each restoration is designed and milled using advanced CAD/CAM technology for precision accuracy and optimal fit and form. We also hand-polish each layered zirconia crown to create a smooth surface and help minimize wear on opposing dentition.
PRO-Z features 100% zirconia contact points to improve fracture resistance and full-zirconia occlusal surfaces for additional toughness. It also provides a metal-free alternative to PFM restorations for crown and bridge cases.
Not every lab treats aesthetics and strength as equally important. We do. Here's what sets our layered zirconia restorations apart.
Exceptional Natural Aesthetics: Beautiful layering techniques create lifelike translucency, internal characterization, and natural depth that closely mimic enamel.
Strength Where It Matters: A zirconia framework provides excellent durability while supporting highly aesthetic porcelain layering. Full-zirconia occlusal surfaces and 100% zirconia contact points provide additional strength where restorations need it most.
Handcrafted by Master Ceramists: Every restoration receives individual attention rather than a cookie-cutter finish.
Predictable Fit: CAD/CAM design and milling provide precision accuracy to support optimal fit and form, helping minimize chairside adjustments.
Quality Assurance: Every case undergoes PRO-Craft's 10-step quality assurance check, completed by master technicians.
Dental crowns in zirconia aren't one-size-fits-all, and layered zirconia shines in specific situations. It's an especially strong choice for:
PRO-Z Full-Layered Zirconia is indicated for full-coverage crown and bridge restorations with no unit limitation.
If your patient's case involves heavy occlusal forces, such as posterior molars or bruxism, monolithic zirconia may be the better fit. Our guide to monolithic vs. layered zirconia restorations breaks down exactly how to choose between the two for any given case.

Is a zirconia dental crown stronger than e.max?
Both are excellent restorative materials, and the right choice depends on the case. When you're weighing which is stronger, e.max or layered zirconia, for dental crowns, it comes down to the numbers: PRO-Craft's e.max crowns have a flexural strength around 500 MPa, while our layered zirconia crowns fall in the 900 to 1050 MPa range thanks to the zirconia substructure underneath the porcelain. e.max may still be preferred for certain minimally invasive or highly aesthetic single-unit cases, but for patients who need extra strength without giving up a natural look, layered zirconia often wins out. Case selection always matters more than a single spec sheet.
What is the zirconia dental crown price?
Zirconia dental crown pricing varies by laboratory and depends on several factors, including case complexity, restoration type, and customization requirements. Contact PRO-Craft for current PRO-Z pricing and case-specific information.
Are layered zirconia dental crowns durable?
Yes. PRO-Z uses a zirconia framework with a feldspathic ceramic overlay to combine strength with natural aesthetics. The restoration also incorporates full-zirconia occlusal surfaces for optimal toughness and 100% zirconia contact points to improve fracture resistance. As with any restoration, appropriate case selection and preparation are important for long-term performance.
When should I choose layered zirconia instead of monolithic zirconia?
Choose layered zirconia when you need to balance zirconia's strength with highly customized aesthetics, translucency, and characterization. PRO-Z can be used for full-coverage crown and bridge restorations, including anterior, cosmetic, and larger restorative cases. Monolithic zirconia eliminates the porcelain overlay and may be preferred when maximum durability is the primary consideration.
